Grateful for a day in the studio at @currylands su Grateful for a day in the studio at @currylands supporting Matt Halley’s latest album - 12 tracks of long-awaited goodness! The plan at the beginning of the day was to record ukulele for Vasudeva. It evolved into dulcimer for Redemption, too - isn't memory weird? I remembered the part I wrote to put that song on a Dulcimer Thursday forever ago. (Who remembers Dulcimer Thursday??) Thank you, @simonpurchasejames, for letting us borrow your dulcimer! If this is your first time hearing about Currylands, I encourage you to learn more. Check out @currylands and @farmrestoration (and don't be shy about following @shanepalkomusic either). There are shows throughout the year and other events where you can come see this refreshing place and meet its esteemed community and caretakers.

Today I accompanied my student (my mom!!) to the C Today I accompanied my student (my mom!!) to the Classical Guitar Store in Philly. She’s the proud owner of a new lattice-braced classical guitar (ooo la la). It’s got a great sound and I think she’s going to have a lot of fun with it!

Many thanks to @delawarenerr for inviting me back Many thanks to @delawarenerr for inviting me back to perform at this year’s Blackbird Creek Fall Festival! The crowd and the weather were both top notch. Huge ups to the small audience member who ended every song for an hour with “you’re awesome!!” Also very happy to see Acorn Whiskey, apparently for the second time — we happened to meet at an open mic at Old Stone Cider this past summer! It’s fun to run into folks serendipitously like that.

My standard spiel involves asking about folks' experience, and Ian's kids kindly reminded me that they'd come on the Voyageur trip (big canoes) which I led during their summer camp. (: Anyway, here I am, out standing in my marsh.
